Ah, yes. The quintessential Aussie Summer Photo.
I know how much all those who don’t live in Australia will love this:
confirmation of all you dread about Australian Beaches!
For those who don’t know, at Sydney beaches a siren is sounded when a shark is sighted.
The siren sound is akin to an air raid siren [to my in-experienced ear].
There is simply NO DOUBT you are meant to GET. OUT. OF. THE. WATER.
And FAST.
Not 20 minutes later and with no further sightings,
this is the view:
In this era of camera phones,
the more amusing image was most definitely the shot you don’t see:
the photograph of the photographers…

That bottom photo is just FANTASTIC!
Happy New Year to you and your crew xx

It is hysterical, isn’t it?! Not to mention the ‘babes’…
Happy New Year to you + your beautiful family – wishing you’d move back to Melbourne! ;)

Ha! Classic. There’s no way I’d be getting back in after a sighting, although I suppose with so many other swimmers around, your chances of being eaten diminish!

That is definitely the theory I went with… However, I’m sure it isn’t foolproof!!
